Starbucks - 2010 Coffee at Home Sweepstakes

One grand-prize winner will receive a $40,000 Prize Package for a Kitchen Makeover, which includes a $39,000 budget for kitchen renovations of your existing kitchen through a major home improvement center—plus, $1,000 worth of Starbucks® Coffee and coffee-making equipment. Monthly prizes include a Coffee at Home gift pack!

Eligibility :

The Time Inc. 2010 “Coffee at Home” Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes” or the “Promotion”) is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia (U.S.), age 18 or older at the time of entry. Void outside the US, in Puerto Rico, and wherever else prohibited by law.

Sweepstakes Promotion Period :

The Time Inc. 2010 “Coffee at Home” Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 Noon Eastern Time (“ET”) on Friday, March 19, 2010 and ends at 11:59 PM (“ET”) on Tuesday, November 30, 2010.

Limit :

One (1) online entry per person per email address per day.


Prize(s) :

One (1) Grand Prize of a Gift Card, which must be used for a Home Kitchen Makeover (the “Kitchen Makeover”), redeemable at a Home Improvement Retailer of Sponsor’s choice, from the winner’s hometown or within a 100-mile geographic proximity, with a retail value of $39,000. Prize is not redeemable for cash and prize allowance for Kitchen Makeover from Sponsor will not exceed $39,000 and acceptance of said terms must be agreed upon in writing by the Grand Prize Winner upon acceptance of the prize.

Additionally, a “Coffee at Home” Service Gift Package from Starbucks will be part of the Grand Prize and will include: One (1) 12-cup Chambord Coffee Press by Bodum (ARV: $49.95); One (1) 8 oz. Coffee Grinder by Baratza (ARV: $99.95); One (1) Solis SL 70 Espresso Machine ($499.00); One (1) 6-cup Electric Moka Espresso Maker by DeLonghi (ARV: $59.95); One (1) 12-cup Programmable Coffee Maker with Thermal Carafe by Cuisinart (ARV: $99.95) One (1) Set of two (2) Pavina Highball Glasses by Bodum (ARV: $19.95) and a One-Year Supply of Starbucks Coffee (ARV: $161.82) that includes three (3) bags of PPR (ARV: $26.97), two (2) bags of Caffe Verona (ARV: $17.98), two (2) bags of House Blend (ARV: $17.98), two (2) bags of Decaf House Blend (ARV: $17.98); two (2) bags of Espresso Roast (ARV: $17.98); two (2) bags of Columbia (ARV: $17.98); two (2) bags of Breakfast Blend (ARV: $17.98); one (1) bag of Decaf Verona (ARV: $8.99); one (1) bag of Morning Joe (ARV: $8.99); and one (1) bag of Italian Roast (ARV: $8.99). The ARV of the “Coffee at Home” Service Gift Package is $990.57.

TOTAL ARV of the Grand Prize: $39,990.57.

Eight (8) First Prize winners. One (1) prize, a “Coffee at Home” Gift Package, will be designated for each of the Eight (8) months of the Sweepstakes Entry Period, having an individual ARV of $508.82. Each of the Eight (8) “Coffee at Home” Gift Packages will include: One (1) French Press Gift Set by Bodum with a Press and Two (2) mugs (ARV: $39.95); One (1) Black Aroma Espresso Machine by Saeco (ARV: $249.99); One (1) Coffee Maker by Hamilton Beach (ARV: $119.99); and a Supply of Starbucks Coffee (ARV: $98.89) that includes three (3) bags of PPR (ARV: $26.97), two (2) bags of Caffe Verona (ARV: $17.98), two (2) bags of House Blend (ARV: $17.98), two (2) bags of Decaf House Blend (ARV: $17.98) and two (2) bags of Expresso Roast (ARV: $17.98). TOTAL ARV of All First Prizes: $4,070.56.

Are you serious? You'd think they'd be trumpeting the winner, rather than making people jump through the hoop of sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope anywhere! I mean really, how 1977 is that. I think I just lost interest...
